I woke up with a massive stomach ache today. Maybe we shouldn’t have eaten that sushi after all.
After a slow start in the morning we made it down to the beach after walking around to see the Excellence resort wildlife. We saw parrots, flamingos, peacocks, roosters, and I was attacked by a gang of loco ducks.

Day three started out with a workout at the gym and then we spent the rest of the day in our cabana bed on the beach. We ate pizza on the beach and read most of the day. So relaxing.
At night we dined at the Asian fusion restaurant, Spice. Despite the warning of some friends we made at the beach, we shared sushi and seemed to make it out okay. Later we watched a show called...
Woke up today not on our A game, but still had an awesome day. After an amazing breakfast at Toscana, we finished our walking tour of the Excellence grounds then spent the rest of the day at the beach.
I played beach volleyball for a couple of hours while Britney cheered me on from the sidelines. In between games the waiter brought us a tray full of refreshing cervezas.

Arrival at Excellence Punta Cana
Britney and I arrived at the beautiful Excellence resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic today! We left out of Birmingham, flew to Charlotte, then directly to the Punta Cana airport, which literally looks like a giant hut with some Big Ass Fans. After about an hour of being stuffed liked sardines in a minivan, we arrived. The ride wasn’t so bad, but the Dominican scenery along the way...

Britney is officially on her sabbatical and we’re kicking it off at the San Destin Hilton. I’ll be there for the weekend but have to come back for work. Philip & Meredith are joining us for the weekend too! B is staying the whole week and her mom will be coming down on Sunday as well.
